The Ahwatukee Foothills Concert Band (AFCB) is a non-profit, adult concert band made up of over 70 musicians from all over the Phoenix area. They play a wide variety of audience-pleasing music, like marches, show-tunes, big band, traditional band favorites and pop medleys. Since the concert is close to St. Patrick’s Day, they will be featuring some Irish favorites, too!
AFCB’s conductor is Dr. Martin Province. Marty studied at the University of Colorado and for more than 30 years has conducted a variety of groups including orchestras, choirs, chamber ensembles and bands.
On the evening of March 15, AFCB welcomes back guest conductor Brendan Anderson, who was the conductor of the AFCB from 2005-2014. The AFCB performs 10-15 times per year at local venues, special events and in many concert series throughout the valley. King of Glory is pleased to bring AFCB to perform as part of our Spring 2019 KOG Concert Series!
