For children in 5th-6th grades
Registration forms for Crossover are available in the Church Office and in the Welcome Center.
Program fee of $25.00 is due first day of class.
The goal of the Crossover Program is to help 5th & 6th graders better know the living God and see His plan of salvation for us through a study of the Old Testament one year and the New Testament the next year. A stronger faith foundation is the goal of Crossover so that each student is ready to confront the world with it’s secular values and diverse beliefs. While studying the Old Testament and our Jewish roots, we will visit a synagogue. We study our Greek background during the New Testament and attend and orthodox church. We will study the Lutheran Church during R.O.A.R (Religious Outspoken Awesome Reformers) culminating with a Reformation/costume party. 5th and 6th graders are also invited to attend Welcome to the Lord’s Table classes, which prepare them to receive their 1st Communion on Maundy Thursday. There are 5 classes in the spring which meet on Friday evenings. These classes are meant to be a meaningful time in their faith journey while getting them ready for their 1st Communion. Please contact Beth Furgason at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Crossover Program events include Welcome the Lord’s Table, R.O.A.R, Extreme Air and Laser Quest.
