King of Glory Clarinet Choir is a community clarinet ensemble which was formed in June, 2009 and today has 20+ members ranging from middle school to senior retirees. We provide programs for churches, art festivals, healthcare & retirement facilities, community events, holiday specials, private social events. In addition to full ensemble programs, the KOG Clarinet Choir has also developed small group outreach programs for our local community, providing musical programs for smaller venues in nursing homes/retirement centers, individual homes and hospice settings. Sometimes the small ensembles (typically 4 -8 clarinetists) are also joined by a few singers from King of Glory to help lead the group singing. When appropriate, individuals and family members are asked before the visit to select favorite hymns and songs to include in the program to reflect the preferences of the patients/residents.
We are always looking for new clarinetists to come and play with the group. Some of the clarinetists in the choir did not play clarinet for many years (25+) and have found it surprising how quickly their playing skills return (and improve!). If you play the clarinet or have played clarinet in the past you are most welcome to join us!
