ADULT RECREATION GROUPS
Our adult recreation activities serve to connect people to one another and to Christ’s Body
The Classics group at King of Glory is a wonderful way to enjoy fellowship with other adults within the KOG community. We offer activities which typically occur during the day and are free or low in cost. Many of the trips and tours we take are off campus, but we do occasionally meet on campus. Our Activities usually include lunch or refreshments and all friends of KOG and its members are invited. Please contact Ruth Spencer at RuthS@kogaz.org for more information.
View the KOG Events Page for a list of upcoming events.
This group is open to all Bridge players and meets from 6:00-9:00 pm on the third Sunday of each month, from September through May. Please contact Larry & Sylvia Buehler at email@example.com for more information.
Fall 2015: We start Marathon Bridge on Sunday, September 21 at 6:00p.m. in the KOG Center.
Co-Ed Golf League
Fall 2016 “Fellowship” Golf League starts Tuesday, September 6 and plays four weeks in September. We will take two weeks off the first week of October for the over-seeding of the course, then play four more weeks. There will be a banquet at Shalimar after the last match. The cost is $40 and includes 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes plus dinner for you ($15 addition per guest). There is also an optional $20 fee if you would like to join in our weekly cash prize events. The green fees are paid directly to Shalimar each week.
This is a fellowship league and is open to all skill levels. There is a wide range of players in the group and handicaps are established so all scores are competitive. Contact Teri Zahara at firstname.lastname@example.org with your full name, phone number and email address to sign up. Sign ups are also accepted in the Welcome Center. Last day to sign up is Wednesday, August 31.
Did you know this league is one of the longest running fellowship groups at KOG? There are two seasons, Spring and Fall, that run approximately 2 months each. Golf is a great time to escape life’s pressures, exercise, and enjoy some of God’s beautiful creation. After nine holes, we gather in the restaurant for some refreshments and time to reflect on the best shot of the day. We have an awards dinner at the Shalimar Club House on the last day of each season and award some very unusual golf prizes!
