Welcome Jim Hale - After 50 consecutive years of Lenten/Easter sermon series, I am taking a break . . .
And am delighted that Jim Hale will be providing for us our Lenten/Easter Sunday sermons. Jim, retired LCMC pastor, most recently built and led Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Irvine, California. A graduate of Wartburg Theological Seminary, Jim was commissioned as a Navy Reserve Chaplain and served God and Country for 6 years. . followed by service to congregations in Whittier, Santa Ana, California then at Irvine for 28 years. Jim and JoAnne live in East Mesa and are parents to two adult children and six wonderful grandchildren.
Wednesdays of Lent: Soup and Scripture

Cost: $8.00 per person per night for soup supper and $5.00 per family per night for study. Pay at the door. Childcare will be available at $3.00 for the 1st child and $2.00 for each additional child. Please notify the church if childcare is necessary. Registration will begin March 5. Children are to arrive a few minutes early in the narthex to receive a palm and line up so they can wave it as we process into the sanctuary. Children will also experience fun hands-on Palm Sunday activities in their classrooms and attend a special Crossover Presentation at the Jerusalem Theater (Lower KOG Center). Come relax between services while enjoying the past, fellowship and breakfast on the plaza. Adults are invited to a special showing from 10:20 a.m. - 10:40 a.m. in the Lower KOG Center.
